http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=69978 I was filmed with a diverse group of people when it felt like the East River came to 2nd Avenue. This is one block away from the Cooper Union build that in my opinion was in part responsible for this water main break and many pipes are very old and needed to be replaced before supersizing was even an option to be discussed but of course there never was...surprise!
Now when it rains here it feels like Venice because the infrastructure is in bad shape and have you noticed the city streets are as well?
Well at least we can comfort ourselves knowing that massive mega dorms, sky piercing condos and hotels that look like gi-normous space ships illegally parked on the Bowery are adding to the delipidated infrastructure problems that leaking subways and flooded streets, holes with with garbage cans continue to hint at.
I am waiting for the 9th to give that Space Ship illegally parked on the Bowery a "no parking ticket". When is the 9th going to ticket that big space ship and tow it away? ...aka Cooper Square hotel, aka Dubai onthe Bowery.
If the NYPD needs to expand their prison system, the Bowery Hotel looks like a prison as well as a zone buster. I don't understand how Brooklynites where successfully able to expose Scarano and kick his architect butt but on the Bowery, well it just feels like the dude has friends and that he must be on anti-depressants because the hotel looks like a prison or factory and it sure feels criminal.
