Please take a look and sign this petition. This is not just about stopping just another neighborhood bar (although there are over 300 in the neighborhood). The occupants of the JASA Senior Residence on East 5th Street are unable to live a normal, peaceful life or even sleep at night, due to the overwhelming presence of so many bars in their immediate area. Please help them!

What a Convenient Time to apply for an upscale beer/ wine Liquor License…When the city is conspicuously empty!
The Mercury Dime Owners intend to gather their supporters and apply for a liquor license at the SLA meeting again! They want to meet with the East 5th Street Block Association . No date has been set as of yet......
Please take a moment and sign the petition to oppose the liquor license application for the Mercury Dime. As you may recall, last year this same establishment tried to obtain a liquor license under the name “The Mighty Ocelot'. Due to strong and loud community opposition at the SLA meeting (do you recall the bar owner brought his mother!) and over 150 signatures on the street petition the request was denied. The Mighty Ocelot was then reconfigured into a coffee/dessert bar called the Mercury Dime and now they want a beer/wine license.
Please remember that within several feet of the Mercury Dime there are 5 establishments that serve liquor!!!!!!
