In 1977 The NY Times refused to report news on NYPD corruption. All newspapers refused until the news stories became too big to continue killing news stories.
Right now the biggest news stories killed are for Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn from CityTime, ECTP 911 Tech System and many tech crimes to the Rudin Luxury St. Vincent's Hospital condos and Manhattan DA Cy Vance's unwillingness to prosecute St. Vincent's crooks.
