Schawrtz is the winner of the Brooklyn Historical Society's "interpreting Brooklyn" grant for his writing. Schwartz is writing a book of mostly Coney themed short stories, monologues, and poems. He has been performing them all over the city including WKCR FM radio, at the Museum of the City of New York, the Puffin Room, and the Brooklyn Book Festival at the Coney Island Museum and more!
