East Village Bloomberg de Blasio on going Infrastructure problems

Flashback East Village:  Karen worked in front of "Love Saves the Day" and than she worked  in front of this coffee place on St. Marks Place selling cool thangs.

Karen loves the East Village and the People of NYC/East Village -- she believes they are the best and she wanted me to thank the two men that came to her rescue when she fell January 30, 2018 on First Avenue and 14th street.

It was one of those freezing cold days and Karen doesn't know if she slipped on black ice or what -- she was crossing the street and she did fall.   She broke her leg so badly she could not get up.   Two men came to her assistance and would not leave her side.  One man directed traffic to prevent Karen from getting hit by a car and the other called an ambulance.

Karen really wants to thank the two men that helped but she doesn't know how to reach them.

Karen did call the FDNY EMS and gave the two EMS workers that responded to the 911 call a commendation praising them as well.  

The FDNY chief of EMS wrote back thanking Karen for her praise and appreciation of the EMS workers and Karen has the letter hanging on her wall. 




Karen was taken to Mt. Sinai and she now has her leg in a cast and is in a wheel chair.   Karen gets the best care at the VA hospital where they know her and are seeing her through the healing process.


She is gaunt, wheel chair bound for now but her spirit is good.    She loves the East Village so much and again wants to thank the men that helped her.

Sunshine Movie Theatre Closed

Mamoun’s Expanding Falafel Frontiers

Mamoun came from  Damascus, Syria and he opened up the first falafel place ever in NYC in 1971!



It was and is still  in the original location on McDougall street and is open untill 5:00 am  which was a tradition that started in the 1970s!


Mamoun is survived  by four sons that  run this successful expanding business now transforming into a franchise.


With the exception of the first Mamoun store located in the West Village, each location has huge photos of NYC.   One of my favorite photos is of Mamoun himself, a young handsome man with long hair and a beard.


I’m writing this from the Princeton location (does not have late night hours) where there’s a large photo that says Cafe WHA?, FUGS, Bleeker St.    Well now a days,  all that remains is Bleecker Street and Mamoun’s—just joking —  but over the years we’ve watched the city struggle to hold onto the City’s Soul to what makes the city so unique and special...


as the city loses so much of what made the city the city and so many ethnic famous restaurants have fallen — the small falafel forerunner survives and flourishes!




 The  teeny Mamoun’s on McDougall’s place is  reborn over and over — 2 in New York City different locations — always successful; Mamoun’s legacy  expanded to New Jersey and Connecticut and now the second generation is expanding across the country starting next in Texas .

 Some people open a restaurant in New York City and it  closes in less than a year, some people have a successful run for five years or 10 years while this frontier falafel place is close to a 50 year anniversary — the second generation’s success is a tribute to Mamoun!

 I really get it now these people are really bad evil people I mean Zachary Carter is covering up how many NYPD crimes in my case in other cases?

I have come up with the concept of an NYPD app tracker and similar data bases which allow the public to search nyc gov data bases or in the NYPD's case build a citizens data base.

The NYPD app tracker would allow victims to report crimes the NYPD won't let them including NYPD crimes as well as  show how the public sees crimes very differently than NYPD and or be a time capsule for  families who allege  their love ones were murdered by the NYPD.

I was a victim  of a violent crime at a doctors office in Soho.  The attack was so violent I had to have laser surgery on my eye to repair my retina.   The crime stats for that precinct the 1st Precinct never reflected the attack, the threat of bodily harm,  objects that hit my body and my attacker threw her shoes.  The video evidence was acknowledged and the attack written up by an nypd public member but detective "doctored" the DD5s aka police reports  and I got some of them because corporate counsel accidentally gave them to me.

My Dad a decorated WW2 Vet and Scholar died knowing Ray Kelly's role in this and my Mom is in Hospice.  I would like an apology and a settlement from the City of NY while she still is a live and recognizes me and she knows what was done to me.

 I think it was a car they weren't forthcoming except that someone was very badly injured I asked if they die and the police officer said no but I gather the person is in very bad shape or persons
