• Investigation of why ambulance took 35 min to respond 250 Broadway on March 6, 2012 AM during the Public Hearing last week.

• Norman asked for an investigation by the mayor's office because

• People who were opponents to the Rudin plan were turned away.

• Only two city council members were there to listen to testimony.
• It was not democratic or an even playing field as the only public hearing for the community to speak.

• Ask for a formal apology.

• Children, Seniors, and the sick, are the most vulnerable silent populations and that also includes the low income children that are left alone now without a hospital. We need a full service hospital.

• Following up with speaker from press conference regarding Miguel Acevedo speech (on videotape):
• What are low-income minorities to do that live in her district?
• Stats show the fact rapes are up in the neighborhood and the Rape crisis is closed, since SVH closed. Restore a Rape Center on the westside.
• AIDS patient's in the neighborhood have been driven all across the city for healthcare. Why?

• The point being is that more condos pushes population growth and underscores the harsh reality we need a full service hospital.

• That current plans for the Comprehensive Health Center will not treat 10% of population that arrive at it's door and must be transported across and up town to full service hospitals.

• That removal of the tanks from the Triangle Park insure that O'toole and SVH site will never be a hospital again because of NYS regulations.

• Terror attacks leave NYC in greater jeopardy when there is yet another terrorist attack.

• We need a trauma level 1 Hospital center and Emergency Room on the west side of Manhattan.

• Add floors to O'Toole and a hospital can be created with a will of private and government monies by adding 3 to 4 floors to create the needed Hospital and Rudin still gets SVH to build Luxury apartments.

Tomorrow we get our 500 million which I have clear is which is way too low a figure -- we have been had and yet again Bloomberg is falsely promoting this as his victory when in fact he is as guilty as sin along with his administration and Christine Quinn but the question can SAIC shareholder try to claw back some of the 500 million if SAIC went bankrupt because of all the shareholders lawsuits against SAIC over CityTime.

Folks: I do not know if the man in the suit is part of Christine Quinn's private NYPD detail but I email emailing Commissioner Kelly to enquire and point out Civil Rights have concerns re: why the NYPD are photographing people and what are they doing with photos. Quinn had seniors on line in the freezing cold many handicapped at 250 Broadway and the NYPD were well behaved and used not intimidation but the private security for 250 Broadway refused my demand to get the most fragile seniors inside in to the warmth as it was freezing Tuesday morning so a 75 year old man passed out and the good NYPD good an ambulance for us. It took 35 minutes for the ambulance to show up and that was across from City Hall.

Christine Quinn is a coward who can't face her own constituents and uses garbage entrances rather than walk past protestors. She also will use her private NYPD security to intimidate peaceful protestors demanding a hospital for the community which by the way the NYPD needs desperately as well because their job is so dangerous.

I was at City Hall by 7:30ish and made it to 250 Broadway by 7:45 and I froze my tatas off and left just before Donny got there. I do want to point out that the NYPD were Peaceful and respectful. We didn't need all the police presence but all was peaceful and the NYPD were not the problem but the private security for 250 Broadway along with Quinn and Rudin and I have links to Quinn NYU and The Villager pulling same dirty tricks a the bottom of the post.

75-Year Old Man Collapses and Hundreds, including Elderly, are Left Outside in the Cold In spite of pleas from her constituents to hold the public hearing about St. Vincent's Hospital in a room large enough to accommodate the hundreds of people expected to attend, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn assigned the hearing to a room that could hold only 40 people. As a result, hundreds of people, many of whom were elderly, were left standing outside in the frigid weather for hours behind barricades surrounded by at least a dozen police officers. At 9:30 a.m., a 75-year old man collapsed and was taken away in an ambulance. Hundreds told they would not be allowed inside to testify Was the NYPD expecting riots at a public hearing? Christine Quinn, whose district includes St. Vincent's Hospital, purposely held this hearing in a small room to prevent hundreds of people from testifying against the plan to allow one of her biggest campaign donors, the Rudins, to build a luxury high-rise condo on the St. Vincent's site, which was zoned for community use. While hundreds waited outside in the cold, Rudin's cohorts were escorted into the building -- ahead of all of the people who had been standing in line. In response to a question from NYC resident Louis Flores who asked why people were being shut out of the public hearing, the head of Quinn's "Community Outreach Unit," Tony Simone, stated that all questions had to be directed to Speaker Quinn's press office. So much for community outreach.... By 11:30 a.m., four hours after people started to line up, all but about 50 people exited the barricades after being told that they weren't going to be given the chance to testify at this public hearing. He also states, "Right across the street is the City Council Chamber that has hundreds of seats...They were trying very deliberately to keep this under wraps."
