The Tenants Associaton of 515 E 5 th St prevailed again at the board of standards and appeals.
The board refused to grant the Shaouls vesting under the old zoning which would have legalized the illegally constructed vertical enlargement aka The Penthouse (6 and 7th floor)
This is the 3rd time The Tenants Associaton has prevailed in their attempt to prevent unscroupulous developers from increasing the allowable square footage of tenements contrary to existing laws and rule.
The Shaouls immediately filed again in their 4th proceeding before the BSA, this time seeking a variance for which they are ineligible.
A required hearing before CB3 please stay tuned...
(Psssss just another delaying tacit which will allow them to continue collecting rent on illegally constructed apartments with no certificate of occupancy.
Too bad for Shaoul's private enquity sponsors????
