Woman raped by guest who also robbed her of TV & electronics E. Village NYDaily News p22 Nov. 28

Novemember 28, The NY Daily News page 22 An East Village woman was sexually assaulted and robbed last week, cops said.

The young woman brought the man to her 14th St. home near Avenue B around 4am Sunday, when he raped her and stole her television and other electronic equipment.

The suspectt is described as 6 feet tall, about 25 years old.

I hand painted his portrait with an over sized crown with red white and blues gems...for more watch the youtubes on painting to making the art in to a poster for the streets of New York.

My first youtube was "Mayor Bloomberg King of New York" and check out the right up on my youtubes -- I was deeply moved because very rarely have I met someone that understands the artist and I felt the author of this piece saw in to my soul.

Giuseppe Logan (also spelled Giuseppi) Out From the Shadow by Pete Gershon Signal to Noise Magazine/my youtube GL playing Begin the Beguine Dec 2008

Dear Readers:  I am exhausted...get these fits of exhaustion, started last year when I had to move under duress, total trauma not healed...but one miracle....Last December I filmed Giuseppe Logan playing Begin the Beguine and it rocked the jazz world because people thought he was dead.  Giuseppe was in Virgina when a friend showed him that this was so on a computer and that gave him the drive to get to NYC where like magnets we found each other on a freezing cold day.  Tim Madison, a writer and music lover immediately contacted me to explain the significance of my youtube and how deeply moved he was.

Tim told me because of this renewed interest he has heard that GL's old label is going to re-release his albums maybe with some other tracks.   The article that Peter Gershon wrote is powerful and moving along with the photos of GL as a young man and all the people I have met or emailed along the way are soulful and moving especially Matt Lavelle who has dedicated loving energy Giuseppe Logan's way even giving him this instrument you see in the photo in need of repair.

I am not going to see The Solist right now -- I remember after Sept. 11 -- it was impossible to sit through a film and after the traumatic experience last year so traumatic but not 9-11, I sometimes feel this way -- the way I do now -- there is no way I can sit through The Solist but I love this magical New York experience and Giuseppe Logan tells me how generous New Yorkers have been to him.

There are people that call themselves real east villagers and they robbed me of my good feeling about the EV but Giuseppe Logan who lived here in the 1960's standing just a few feet from my hexagon in the park "miss you, miss the trees, the NYC idiosyncrasies" from The Going a short story I wrote about 9-11 dedicated to the NYPD detectives -- GL restored some of the feel good and love -- it was as if he and are ghosts revisiting this park compelled to return over and over and that is a theme of two short stories of mine -- the other is Murderville in the East Village -- a political statement about the murder of "the Village -- the community crushing development" but it is told through a modern day version of Laura so I was shocked when Giuseppe played the theme from Laura this morning in the park.  I asked him if he had seen the film and he said no.

Haunting...and my ghost stories are haunting statements -- my art about the neighborhood I loved so much...that I do not recognize anymore....

GL's story is a mystery.  He repeats often he did some things wrong -- bad choices -- in his quiet way.  I nod when he tells and I express compassion.  He is alive and that is a miracle, he now has instruments since he returned to NYC and he has connected with a world wide audience that thought he was dead and are happy he is alive and GL seems happy, very happy to be found.

I am too tired write now to post all my youtubes.  I will start with one but you can find youtubes on GL including the original one from the 1960's in Tompkins that Pete Gershon talks about in his article Out from the shadow.   I remember telling Tim Madison -- Tim I found this video from the 1960's!  Same park, do you think that is GL's son...he is holding his son's hand in a tight loving embrace!  I have made a series and will put up more footage today and Matt Lavelle has some moving video of him and GL playing with other talented artists that clearly love GL and have embraced him.

I feel heart broken about what happen to my beloved neighborhood.  I loved in the Village non-stop for 25 years, much has left me feeling angry and sad and the 2 ghost stories have even greater significance considering what I went through and also the hexagon from The Going being a couple of feet from GL and me when "I found him" as if he was a ghost and I returning to haunt Tompkins....The love and out pouring for Giuseppe Logan and the kindness I felt from Tim Madison and Peter Gershon and their acknowledgement of me as well has been salve on a bigger wound....I am sure GL could relate in some way...

Memory just came to me, Mike Bloomberg's ad people used my legs and hand painted sign "thanks & gratitude" for his first campaign. NYPD is that theft?

*Memory just came to me -- when Mike Bloomberg was running for his first term his ad people used my legs -- I was wearing shorts and holding a sign "Thanks and gratitude" . Even though they did not use my face people recognized my legs and told me they saw me on tv. How ironic since if Mike Bloomberg had just hinted he had a tsunami of community crushing development in mind, I would have never voted for him and asked him to cease and desist using my legs and hand painted sign.
I was sent the link below and I do not do drugs or have ever used them but this video makes you wonder if someone dropped some mind altering substance in to your computer screen....scary...

Whom ever conceived of this video must agree with me that the Bloomberg campaign is Orwellian and that Mike Bloomberg is in love or addicted to positions of power, any position....  

When you see the Mike Bloomberg ads projected on city buildings it just evoked pain because I have to worry about the NYPD giving me summons or what some might call harassment although so far so good. I spoke with sanitation and I feel confident I should not have a problem with the sanitation dept.

On the other hand my friend David Kaufman who wrote the new bio on Doris Day said my no third term poster was so good the mayor may have me bumped after seeing this video starring Mike himself, I felt relief, at worst maybe just harassed,oops I mean visited by his special unit NYPD for the mayor that stops and hands out their business card to any perceived threats like the granny article in The New York post, at worst....I know I need to embrace any tickets, problems that may happen although I prefer they don't happen but I have to convince myself it just means publicity and the kind Mike has been getting is minus 3 million dollars of the 8 million that may go up to a billion.....

Do landlords want empty store fronts which can be seen on so many blocks through out NYC or are they going to do the right thing and take back stores communities city wide would welcome back with open arms?

Watch "Mayor Bloomberg King of New York Part 2" and see I use my inner Mae West to lampoon the mayor that would be King of New York!!!  Mae West was the first and last woman of the 2oth century to be sexually empowered and not look like she was starvation victim! Read the text portion of the youtube and the comments for more thoughts on City Hall scandals and well, how they seem above the law!

Side note: For those that have read "John Berger's "Ways of Seeing "you will understand another message I am sending/ a visual play.
When I confronted the mayor on the John Gambling show about the East Village being mega dormed to death, sky piercing mega dorms and mirrored condos reflect a history destroyed, communities no longer welcome, evictions rising, we need community outreach resource centers in the mega dorms, the mayor replied, just a few people feel the way Suzannah feels.  (Nice way to attempt to diminish what I was saying, hence I turned to John Berger, using youtube as my art.)

Hey I heard on the news Mike Bloomberg spent 83 million to grab the title "Mayor" for the 2nd time setting I am guessing a world record in spending money to be mayor of New York City.
In the above link it says he spent only 73 million!!!!!!!!!!!

He is now the richest man in NYC so let us see if he spends a even more to buy popularity and his third term!

Our founding fathers never allowed for the longevity and immense wealth with more multi-billionaires and mega millionaires as Americans are marrying, divorcing, inheriting fortunes and few like Bloomberg that actually made their own wealth. Therefore we need to limit how much a person can spend on their campaign because democracy is being distorted! I call NYC oligarch central and we have so many mini-Mike wannabes.

I wish we could have term limits for every part of government including senate and house of representatives down to community boards here in NYC where we are deprived of the voting for the people that supposedly represent our communities! The office of the President of the United States is limited to two terms as a standard for term limits...which mayor king Mike Bloomberg has seemed to forgotten about....the Presidency is the highest office at least in theory for America. I just made a new youtube "Mayor Bloomberg King of New York Part 2" to lampoon him. Youtube is my art and the mayor a muse.

I was so upset I returned to post 2 more comments.  It just feels like more often than not, he or she that has more money wins...and the laws favor the rich as in mega bucks, developers, landlords, etc.

I forget to put my name Suzannah B. Troy. I voted for Mike Bloomberg twice because I believed in him. Little did I know that he and his mega millionaire socialite city planner would take what was left of the East Village and allow NYU to mega dorm it to death, allow Cooper Union and other greedy developers to make the the historic area look like a bad xerox of Dubai. If they had showed their plan for what was my home for the last quarter century, I would never have voted for him and if he offered me 3 billion dollars to for a third term, the answer is "NO!". Amanda Burden's green light for Cooper Union to supersize their little Science Building to lease it for 99 years by a subway stations so delipidated they leak and on rainy days the Village looks like Venice, Italy. The mayor and Burden pushed a tsunami of community crushing development on "old" New York's infrastructure and too many people have been displaced and I continue to worry for the people's very safety. Do the research and see how many infrastructure breaks and related problems we have had since the Bloomberg administration. Look at the state of the subways by these rapid sky piercing mirrored builds that reflect a history destroyed and communities city wide no longer welcome. Greed was the priority and I am surprised Columbia U., Cooper Union and NYU students do not protest the destruction of our community for an expansion that is dangerous and reckless. I did not see the mayor at one rally to fight eviction in the East Village/Lower East Side! Even the President of the United States, the highest office in America doesn't get to change the rules and run for three terms.

We need more limits and the end of "Wall Street" as part of this economic meltdown was proof and higher education expanding dangerously and recklessly here in NYC is proof these powerful real estate magnates with not for profit status need to capped and reigned in and city council who voted themselves a raise did not have the right to prevent New Yorkers from voting and yes or no term limits.

Suzannah B. Troy's blog has moved and my advise is do not use google's free blogger

I have moved my blog to
and my advice to you if you want a free blog is do not use google's free blogger which is this site.  I also paid for advertising quite a while ago with google and I would advise users not to go for cheap advertising with google because not only did it backfire but it cost me.

Google has some amazing achievements but their customer service is the worst on the planet and if they screw up they won't make amends and like any mega bucks entity --  they are confident you won't sue them or have the money to really go after them they way they deserve being held accountable.  (The USPS is the worst but I paid Google and as an American you aren't given a choice but forced to use the USPS although I do my best to never use the USPS or set foot in a post office.)  In some ways google is like the USPS  becaues you don't have a choice about dealing with them.  I would not be warning you and wasting my time if they had customer service.

I think of someone that took advantage of me and he was like google in some ways and harmed me but he had the deepest pockets.  It took over ten years and karma was served justice so it takes patience but I warn off consumers from google blogger and google advertising.  Google is not saving you anything, just the opposite.  

In contrast Apple has the best customer service.   I have been seeing advertising for a new phone that competes with iphone that is partnered with google and since my experience with google customer service was the worst I would say go Apple.

Google actually uses my name to plug their free blogger.  I guess they feel that is part of the package including the worst customer service but know my experience with the free blogger left me with this message.  Do not use Google's free blogger.

Below seee Google using me to sell you on their free blogger but you heard it from me do not use their free blogger it is the worst free blogging system out there.

Suzannah B. Troy's blog has moved to & new podcast "Mickey Rourke's Oscar" about issues including homelessness+ youtube Animal Medical Center

Here is my latest podcast, Feb. 25, 2009 and I call it Mickey Rourke's Oscar and yes I talk about NYC, homelessnes, health care or the lack of and other tough issues as I show you NYC people and my art.

Come on a tour of the Animal Medical Center with me, Suzannah B. Troy, as I show you a small part of a lecture, some of the facility with state of the art equipment and even a beautiful dog that just finished hydra therapy, running on a treadmill in water as well as a signed Mickey Rourke photo because I am guessin Loki and he have visited this beautiful hospital that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and also learn how they reach out to the community from grade schools educating students to programs to help people with animal therapy, seniors and New Yorkers with budgetary problems to get medical care for their beloved pets.
