I was at The Strand and it was like Jack Maple jumped off the book shelf on to me...I was so impressed with his motivation and dynamic creative ideas and as budget cuts hit the NYPD and that means us the people of New York we are going to have to channel some "Jack Maple" energy. When I pass transit NYPD officers, I want to hand them a copy...he starts as a transit cop and rises to the top of the NYPD to change policing and NYC from the subways to the streets to compstat to communication so precincts were not their own seperate entities and of course Jack Maple encouraged more transparency.
