I stopped calling New York one when man hole covers would explode or toast a car like a marshmallow in the East Village because they just wouldn't come and it happened a lot.
Glad they covered this one in Chelsea.
Con Ed wants to sell us on the idea our prices are going up because of oil and yes that is a factor but so is the massive infrastructure expansion and or the lack of it with this tsunami of development and I am guessing the many lawsuits as well.
ps Con Ed would say "lack of" what are you talking about, we spent ba-billions and I would respond yeah, that is why are bills are going up and clearly Con Ed can't keep up with all this expansion because we keep having problems like this and they don't make the news.
